Ole Christopher Wessel
Ole Christopher Wessel (12 January 1744 – 26 December 1794) was a Norwegian jurist, civil servant and landowner. He was born in Vestby in Akershus as the son of parish priest Jonas Wessel (1707-1785) and Helene Marie Schumacher (1715-1789). He was a brother of poet Johan Herman Wessel and cartographer Caspar Wessel. In 1757, he entered Christiania Cathedral School after which he was enrolled at the University of Copenhagen. In 1770, he received the job of assessor and rose through the ranks via Court of Justice, until he in 1790 was Chief Justice. He was married to Helene Carlsen Barclay from 1779 to 1790. Michael Wade Wessel (born December 2, 1977) is an American mixed martial artist who last competed in 2016. A professional competitor since 2007, Wessel formerly competed for the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Bellator, and was a contestant on '' The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights.'' Background Born and raised in Celina, Ohio, Wessel played football at Celina High School as a defensive tackle and was talented, earning a scholarship to the University of St. Francis where he played nose tackle. Wessel also went to training camps for both the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers but was cut in both appearances. Wessel later competed for Arena Football League teams in North Dakota and San Diego for three-and-a-half seasons before accepting a strength and conditioning coaching job at the University of Arkansas. Mark Wessel was the Dean of the H. John Heinz III College at Carnegie Mellon University from 2004 to 2008. Prior to becoming Dean, Wessel held leadership positions within the Heinz College as Acting Dean, Chief Operating Officer, Senior Associate Dean, and Associate Dean as well overseeing a number of Masters programs. He is currently a lecturer in Economics and Public Policy. Wessel joined the Heinz College faculty in 1993. Mark Wessel (March 26, 1894 – May 9, 1973) was an American pianist and composer. Life Wessel was born in Coldwater, Michigan, and graduated from Northwestern School of Music, now known as Bienen School of Music; he later taught piano and theory there. When Wessel left Northwestern, he became a professor of piano and composition at the University of Colorado at Boulder, University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado, Boulder. Wessel was a former pupil of Arnold Schoenberg. He was twice awarded Guggenheim Fellowships, in List of Guggenheim Fellowships awarded in 1930, 1930 and List of Guggenheim Fellowships awarded in 1932, 1932.
