Wendy Williams (British Actress)
Wendy Williams (7 November 1934 – 17 October 2019) was a British actress. She is best known for her work on television, with credits including: ''Danger Man'', ''Z-Cars'', '' The Regiment'', ''The Pallisers'', '' Thriller'', '' Doctor Who'' (in the serial ''The Ark in Space''), '' Survivors'', ''Poldark'', ''Beau Geste'', '' Tenko'' and '' The Darling Buds of May''. She had a long running role in '' Crossroads'' as Sally Banks, stepping in to the role at very short notice when the original actress Patricia Mort quit the series without notice. She also played the part of Fay Kent in '' Feet of Clay''. Williams was married to television director Hugh David Hugh David (17 July 1925 – 11 September 1987) was a British actor turned television director. David was born in Aberystwyth, Wales. Cheam () is a suburb of London, England, south-west of Charing Cross. It is divided into North Cheam, Cheam Village and South Cheam. The Ark In Space
''The Ark in Space'' is the second serial of the 12th season of the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', which was first broadcast in four weekly parts on BBC1 from 25 January to 15 February 1975. The serial is set more than ten thousand years in the future. In the serial, the insectoid aliens the Wirrn intend to absorb the humans along with their knowledge on board Space Station Nerva. Plot The TARDIS materialises on an aged space station. Sarah is overcome by lack of oxygen. ''Crossroads'' (later known as ''Crossroads Motel'' and ''Crossroads King's Oak'') is a British television soap opera that ran on ITV (TV network), ITV over two periods – the original 1964 to 1988 run, followed by a short revival from 2001 to 2003. Beau Geste (TV Series)
''Beau Geste'' is a BBC television serial, based on the 1924 novel by P. C. Wren. The series aired on BBC1 from 31 October to 19 December 1982 and starred Benedict Taylor, Anthony Calf and Jonathon Morris as the three brothers. Plot Although minor plot points separate the versions, all of the versions share a common element of a stolen gem, which one of the Geste brothers, Beau Geste, is thought to have stolen from his adoptive family. This version, unlike the Hollywood movies, stays true to the book, in that the three young brothers join the legion, are later commanded by Sergeant Major Lejaune (not Markov, as in one of the Hollywood versions), and this TV adaptation contains the scene from the book where the surrounded Legionnaires defiantly sing '' Le Boudin''.
