Wellington Arias Romero (born March 13, 1991 - Santo Domingo) is a Dominican amateur lightweight boxer who competed at the 2012 Olympics. Career At the 2010 Central American Games he won Bronze. At the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships (results) he beat a Gambian and lost to Uzbek Fazliddin Gaibnazarov. At the 2011 Pan American Games he lost his first bout to Brazilian Robson Conceição. At the Olympic qualifier he defeated Venezuelan veteran Héctor Manzanilla, Luis Enrique Porozo (ECU) and Jose Ramírez (USA) to qualify, a final loss to Félix Verdejo was meaningless. Vasyl Anatoliyovych Lomachenko ( uk, Василь Анатолійович Ломаченко, ; also spelled Vasiliy; born 17 February 1988) is a Ukrainian professional boxer. He has held multiple world championships in three weight classes from featherweight to lightweight, including unified and lineal titles at lightweight. Lomachenko is one of the most successful amateur boxers of all time, possessing a record of 396 wins and 1 loss, with that loss avenged twice. Fazliddin Hasanbaevich Gaibnazarov ( uz, Fazliddin Gʻoibnazarov, born 16 June 1991) is an Uzbek professional boxer currently fighting at welterweight. As an amateur fighting at light welterweight, in 2015 he earned silver medals at the world and Asian championships, and in 2016 won a gold medal at the Rio Olympics. Amateur career 2012 Olympics In the round of 32, Gaibnazarov defeated Yhyacinthe Mewoli Abdon 11–6. He then beat Jose Ramírez 15–11 in the round of 16. Félix Gabriel Verdejo Sánchez (born May 19, 1993) is a Puerto Rican professional boxer who held the WBO Latino lightweight title from 2015 to 2017. As an amateur he represented Puerto Rico at the 2012 Olympics. In May 2021, Verdejo turned himself in to police to face federal charges in the murder of his pregnant mistress of many years.
