Chevelle (band)
Chevelle is an American rock band formed in Grayslake, Illinois, in 1995. The band was originally composed of two brothers, Pete Loeffler (lead vocals and guitar) and Sam Loeffler (drums and percussion), along with Matt Scott (bass and backing vocals). Scott was replaced by Sam and Pete's brother, Joe Loeffler, in 1996. When Joe left the band in 2005, Geno Lenardo subbed in as the touring bassist until he was replaced by Pete and Sam's brother-in-law, Dean Bernardini. Bernardini departed from the band in 2019, and in 2021, Kemble Walters joined the band as a touring bassist. The band's first studio album, '' Point #1'', was released on a small record label called Squint Entertainment. ''Vena Sera'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band Chevelle, released on April 3, 2007, through Epic Records. Many of the tracks on this album were based on material from unreleased songs the band had previously recorded. The term "Vena Sera" is ungrammatical Latin for "vein liquids". ''Vena Sera'' is the first Chevelle album with bassist Dean Bernardini, the brother-in-law of fellow members Pete and Sam Loeffler. It would also be the second and final album produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, marking the first time Chevelle maintained the same producer for a second record. Pete Loeffler
Peter Loeffler is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter of the rock band Chevelle alongside his brother, drummer Sam Loeffler. Pete, Sam, and bassist Joe Loeffler formed Chevelle in 1995. Joe left the band in 2004, later being replaced with their brother-in-law Dean Bernardini. As of February 2023, Chevelle have released nine studio albums. Early life Loeffler started off in music when he started taking piano lessons in his family when he was seven years old. Background Drummer Sam Loeffler said in an interview, "Panic Prone is an interesting song because I've just recently learned what it's about. Pete was watching television and one of those commercials came on, 'Save the Children' commercials. That song is about making a decision whether you're going to sit on your couch and watch this happen or you're going to stand up and do something about it.
