''Weird!'' is the second studio album by English singer Yungblud, released on 4 December 2020 by Locomotion and Interscope Records. Originally scheduled for 13 November 2020, the album's release was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is Yungblud's first album since '' 21st Century Liability'' (2018). The album was supported by six singles: "Weird!", "Strawberry Lipstick", "God Save Me, but Don't Drown Me Out", "Cotton Candy", "Mars" and " Acting Like That", and contains collaborations with Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker. ''Weird!'' debuted at number 1 on the UK Albums Chart selling 39,000 units in its first week. Matt Schwartz (born 26 October 1971) is an Israeli-British record producer, songwriter, composer, arranger, programmer, sound engineer, mixing engineer and DJ. Biography and life Born in Israel, Schwartz came to London in the early 90s. Schwartz enrolled at Kingston University, and a year later began working at the Hit-House in Hammersmith between 1994 and 1995 with the likes of Farley Jack Master Funk, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Matt Jam and Carl Brown, plus many more while producing records with James F. Dominic Richard Harrison (born 5 August 1997), known professionally as Yungblud (pronounced "Youngblood"), is an English singer, musician, songwriter and actor. In 2018, he released his first EP, ''Yungblud'', followed shortly after by the album '' 21st Century Liability''. In 2019, he released another EP, ''The Underrated Youth''. "Acting Like That" is a song by English musician Yungblud featuring American musicians Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker, released on 2 December 2020 as the sixth single from the former's second studio album ''Weird!''. Background The song was written about a night the two vocalists spent together after the death of the mutual friend Juice Wrld. According to Yungblud, despite being saddened by the event, they cheered one another up by deciding that they were "way too cool to be acting like that". The following morning, they wrote the song. The song is the third collaboration between the three musicians, following 2019's "I Think I'm Okay" and 2020's "Body Bag", which also featured Bert McCracken. The release of the song was announced on 30 November 2020, which was followed by Yungblud began releasing teasers for the song on social media in the following days. "Cotton Candy" is a song by English singer-songwriter and musician Yungblud. It was released on 9 October 2020, as the fourth single from his second studio album, ''Weird!'', which came out two months later on 4 December. The song was written by Yungblud and his co-writers Zakk Cervini and Christopher Greatti alongside American singer Julia Michaels and songwriter Justin Tranter and was produced by Yungblud, Cervini, Greatti and Omer Fedi. Composition Yungblud said "Cotton Candy" was inspired by Katy Perry's singles "California Gurls" (2010) and "I Kissed a Girl" (2008).
