Mont-Blanc, is a municipality in the Laurentides region of Quebec, Canada, part of the Les Laurentides Regional County Municipality. The municipality was formerly known as Saint-Faustin–Lac-Carré. The application to change the name to the Municipality of Mont-Blanc was approved by the Government of Quebec on January 14, 2022 and officially modified on January 29, 2022. Lachute () is a town in southwest Quebec, Canada, northwest of Montreal, on the Rivière du Nord, a tributary of the Ottawa River, and west of Mirabel International Airport. It is located on Autoroute 50, at the junctions of Quebec Provincial Highways Route 148, Route 158, and Secondary Highways 327 and 329. Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board
The Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board (SWLSB, french: Commission scolaire Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier, CSSWL) is a school board headquartered in Rosemère, Quebec in Greater Montreal. It officially came into existence in July 1998 when English-language schools from eight former school boards were amalgamated. William Alexander Weir
William Alexander Weir (October 15, 1858 – October 22, 1929) was a Quebec lawyer, politician, and judge. He was the MLA for Argenteuil in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1897–1910, held several ministries, and helped rewrite several provincial Codes. Biography Early life William Alexander Weir was born in Montreal on October 15, 1858, the son of William Park Weir and Helen Craig Smith, who had emigrated from Scotland to Canada in 1852. William Park Weir became Surveyor of Customs in the Port of Montreal. His brother, Robert Stanley Weir, would become famous as a judge and author of the English verses for O Canada. Weir was educated at the High School of Montreal and McGill University, earning a B.C.L. degree in 1881, and was called to the Bar of Quebec on July 12, 1881. Quebec Route 364
Route 364 is a Quebec provincial highway located in the Laurentides region. It runs from the junction of Autoroute 15 in the village of Saint-Sauveur, one of the major touristic villages in the Laurentides and ends in Amherst at the junction of Route 323. It overlaps Route 329 in Morin Heights and Route 327 from Weir to Arundel. Although well-maintained for most of its run, the approaches to Lac-des-Seize-Îles and Weir are marked by severe gradients, tight curves and are considered dangerous.
