Weightlifting At The 1984 Summer Olympics – Men's 52 Kg
The Men's Flyweight Weightlifting Event (– 52 kg) is the lightest event at the weightlifting competition. Each weightlifter had three attempts for both the snatch and clean and jerk The clean and jerk is a composite of two weightlifting movements, most often performed with a barbell: the clean and the jerk. During the ''clean'', the lifter moves the barbell from the floor to a racked position across the deltoids, without res ... lifting methods. The total of the best successful lift of each method was used to determine the final rankings and medal winners. Competition took place on 29 July in the 4,500 capacity Albert Gersten Pavilion. The weightlifter from China won the gold, with a combined lift of 235 kg. Gersten Pavilion
The Gersten Pavilion is a 3,900-seat multi-purpose arena in Los Angeles, California. It is the home of the Loyola Marymount Lions, Loyola Marymount University Lions. Meir Daloya
Meir Daloya (; born December 7, 1956) is an Israeli former Olympic weightlifter. He was born in Israel, and is Jewish. Weightlifting career He came in 8th in the 1981 World Weightlifting Championships, lifting 212.5 kg. The following year he came in 11th in the 1982 World Weightlifting Championships, lifting 217.5 kg.
