Wegbe Kpalime
Wegbe Kpalime is a village located in the South Dayi District of the Volta Region of Ghana. History The people of the Kpalime Traditional Area are believed to have migrated to their present locations from Notsé, Notsie in Togo. This was to escape the tyranny of Togbe Agorkorli, the king of Notsie. One large group migrated to the coast. The second group includes the people of Wegbe, Kpeve and Klefe among others who settled in the Volta midlands. People The indigenous population are the Ewe people, Ewe. Wegbe Kpalime is one of the main villages in the Kpalime Traditional Area. They are related to the other Kpalime towns which include Kpale, Todome, Tsatee, Hiama, Kaira, To and Duga. Duga is the main village of the Kpalime Traditional Area. The inhabitants of Wegbe celebrate the annual Kpalikpakpa zã or Kpalikpakpa festival around December each year. Tongor Kaira
Tongor Kaira is a village located in the South Dayi District of the Volta Region of Ghana. Location Kaira is located to the east of the Volta lake. It is just to the west of the Akwapim-Togo mountains which extend from the south east of Ghana through the Volta Region into Togo. To the west are Kpalime Duga and To Kpalime and to the north, Tsate Kpalime and Tsibu. To the south are some of the Peki towns. Kpalimé
Kpalimé is a city in the Plateaux Region of Togo, 120 km north of Lomé and 15 km from the border with Ghana. It is the administrative capital of Kloto Prefecture. Kpalimé has a population of 75,084, making it the fourth-biggest town in Togo, after Lomé, Sokodé and Kara. Hohoe
Hohoe Municipal is one of the 25 administrative districts of the Volta Region of Ghana. It was carved out of the former Kpando District. Kpeve
Kpeve is a small town located in the Volta Region of Ghana and divided into Kpeve Old Town, which is part of the Afadjato South District and Kpeve New Town which is part of the South Dayi District, the administrative district capital of South Dayi district. Location Kpeve is located at the northern end of the South Dayi District. It lies just to the west of the foot of the Akwapim Togo mountain range. Its nearest neighbour to the east is Goviefe Todzi, a village on the mountain. Just over to the east of the mountains is Bame, a junction town which leads north to Kpale Xorse and Kpale Kpalime.
