Weekly Idol
''Weekly Idol'' is a South Korean variety show that began in 2011 and currently airs Wednesdays at 7:30 PM KST on MBC M, and 12:00 AM KST on MBC Every1. It is one of the longest-running variety shows to air on satellite TV in Japan. The show was hosted during its first season by comedian Jeong Hyeong-don and rapper Defconn. The production company behind the show, Genie Pictures was acquired by FNC Add Culture on January 15, 2018, while FNC Add Culture was acquired by SM Entertainment on May 18, 2018 and renamed SM Life Design Group. On February 22, 2018, MBC Every1 announced that both hosts would be stepping down from the show. Former Roo'ra member Lee Sang-min and comedians Yoo Se-yoon & Kim Shin-young were selected as the new hosts of the show's second season, which debuted on April 11, 2018. Variety show, also known as variety arts or variety entertainment, is entertainment made up of a variety of acts including musical performances, sketch comedy, magic, acrobatics, juggling, and ventriloquism. Lee Sang-min (; born June 24, 1973) is a South Korean singer, songwriter, record producer and television personality. He is a former member of the hip hop and dance group Roo'ra. He is also best known for being a cast member of the variety shows ''Knowing Bros'' and ''My Little Old Boy''. Career Lee debuted with mix group Roo'ra in 1993 and hit the top with popular song "Angel Without The Wing" and "Three!Four!". AOA (band)
AOA (; an acronym for Ace of Angels) is a South Korean girl group formed by FNC Entertainment. The original 2012 eight-member line-up included: Choa, Jimin, Yuna, Youkyung, Hyejeong, Mina, Seolhyun and Chanmi. Youkyung left the group in 2016, while Choa left in 2017 due to mental health reasons, followed by Mina in 2019 to pursue her acting career, and Jimin in 2020 due to bullying allegations. Yuna and Seolhyun left in 2021 and 2022 respectively after their contracts expired. The group currently consists of the duo Hyejeong and Chanmi. Yoon Bo-mi (born August 13, 1993), better known by the mononym Bomi, is a South Korean singer and actress. She is best known as a member of the South Korean girl group Apink.
