Webber is a city in Jewell County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 30. History In 1887, Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway built a branch line from Neva (3 miles west of Strong City) through Webber to Superior, Nebraska. In 1996, the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway merged with Burlington Northern Railroad and renamed to the current BNSF Railway. Most locals still refer to this railroad as the "Santa Fe". The first post office in Webber was established in November 1889. The community was named for Dan Webber, an original landowner. Geography Webber is located at (39.935809, -98.034726). Webber International University
Webber International University (Webber or WIU) is a private university in Babson Park, Florida. History Webber International was founded as Webber College by Roger Babson, an entrepreneur and business theorist in the first half of the 20th century. Established in 1927, it was the first private college chartered under Florida's then new charitable and educational laws, and one of the nation's first business schools for women. Webber International University now hosts men and women from some 48 different nations. In February 2011, Webber announced a merger with St. Andrews College in Laurinburg, North Carolina.
