Wayne Wilson (American Football)
Wayne MacArthur Wilson (born September 4, 1957) is a former professional American football running back who played nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL), primarily for the New Orleans Saints. He played college football at Shepherd College and was drafted in the 12th round of the 1979 NFL Draft by the Houston Oilers. His best season was as a starting fullback for New Orleans in 1983, when he led the team with 11 touchdowns, gaining 787 yards rushing, 178 yards receiving, and 239 yards returning kickoffs. J. Wayne Wilson (born November 8, 1961) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of the NCAA Division I men's ice hockey team at Rochester Institute of Technology. Playing career Wilson grew up in Montreal, Quebec, but his family moved to Guelph, Ontario when he was sixteen. A defenceman, he played junior hockey for the Guelph Platers in the Ontario Hockey Association, then went on to college at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He played four years (1980–1984) for the NCAA Division I Bowling Green Falcons, serving as captain in his senior year and leading the team to the 1984 national championship. He graduated with a degree in health, physical education, and recreation, then went on to get his master's degree in education from Bowling Green in 1987.
