Wayne Henderson (footballer)
Wayne Christopher Patrick Henderson (born 16 September 1983) is an Irish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Henderson first professional club was Aston Villa and following a series of loans went on to play most notably for Brighton and Hove Albion as well as playing six times for the Republic of Ireland. Henderson retired in 2009 following a spinal injury. Personal life Born in Dublin, Henderson comes from a family of goalkeepers. His father Paddy played for Shamrock Rovers in the 1960s, and older brothers Dave and Stephen played with great success in the League of Ireland in the 1980s and 1990s. His nephew Stephen played for Crystal Palace. Henderson is married to former The Apprentice contestant Liz Locke. Dave Henderson (footballer)
Dave Henderson (born 11 June 1960), is an Irish former professional footballer goalkeeper who played in the League of Ireland from 1978 until his retirement in 1998. He also played two seasons in the North American Soccer League. Career In 1978, Henderson began his career with Shamrock Rovers. Mainly a reserve goalkeeper, he made his League of Ireland debut on 25 April 1978 and impressed enough to be called into the Republic of Ireland under-21 national football team, earning two caps in 1979. Also in 1979, Henderson spent his summer on loan to the Toronto Blizzard of the North American Soccer League. Henderson returned to Shamrock Rovers and soon established himself in the first team. From 1977 to 1981 he made 35 league appearances, keeping 20 clean sheets. He also played one game in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. Phil Barnes
Philip Kenneth Barnes (born 2 March 1979) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Barnes was active between 1996 and 2019, spending the his first thirteen seasons in professional football in a career that began at Rotherham United, although he first made a name for himself as Blackpool. He notched up 141 league appearances during his spell with the Tangerines which earned him a move to Sheffield United, spending time on loan with Torquay United and Queens Park Rangers before joining Grimsby Town. Michael Colin Newell (born 27 January 1965) is an English football manager and former professional footballer. Newell represented 13 different clubs in his career, playing a total of 530 league games and scoring 120 goals. He was a member of the Blackburn Rovers team which won the Premier League in 1995, and in a game against Rosenborg in the 1995–96 season, Newell scored (what was at the time) the fastest-ever hat-trick in the UEFA Champions League, netting his three goals in a spell of only nine minutes.
