Wayne Curtis
Wayne John Curtis (born 6 March 1980) is an English retired football striker. He finished his career after a short spell with Kendal Town in September and October 2011. He has played in the football league for Morecambe as well as non-league football for Fleetwood Town, Barrow, Kendal Town and Holker Old Boys where he began his career in 1994. Career Born in Barrow-in-Furness, Curtis began his career with Holker Old Boys, and was signed by Jim Harvey in 1998 for Morecambe. His Morecambe debut came against Dover Athletic on 25 April 1998. After a period of indifferent form, he went on loan to his home town club Barrow for a spell during the 2003–2004 season. Upon his return, he hit a rich vein of form and has rarely been out of the first team since. His form after his return from loan saw him attract the attention of Football League club Rochdale who had two bids for him turned down. Barrow-in-Furness
Barrow-in-Furness is a port town in Cumbria, England. Historically in Lancashire, it was incorporated as a municipal borough in 1867 and merged with Dalton-in-Furness Urban District in 1974 to form the Borough of Barrow-in-Furness. In 2023 the borough will merge with Eden and South Lakeland districts to form a new unitary authority; Westmorland and Furness. Rochdale FC
Rochdale Association Football Club is a professional football club based in the town of Rochdale, Lancashire, England. The team currently compete in League Two, the fourth tier of the English football league system. Nicknamed 'The Dale', they have played home matches at Spotland Stadium since 1920 and contested derby matches with the now expelled Bury. The Northern Premier League is an English football league that was founded in 1968. It has four divisions: the Premier Division (which stands at level 7 of the English football league system), Division One East, Division One West and Division One Midlands (which stand at level 8). Since 1909, Barrow have played their home games at Holker Street near the town centre, 0.7 miles from Barrow-in-Furness railway station. Dover Athletic Football Club is a semi-professional association football club based in the town of Dover, Kent, England. The club currently competes in the National League South, the sixth tier of English football.
