Wayne Levell Cage (born November 23, 1951) is an American former professional baseball player. In 1971, he was drafted by the Cleveland Indians. The designated hitter (DH) is a baseball player who bats in place of another position player, most commonly the pitcher. The position is authorized by Major League Baseball Rule 5.11.
