Way Out West (producers)
Way Out West are an English electronic music duo comprising Jody Wisternoff and Nick Warren. Originating in Bristol, England, they rose to fame in the 1990s with their UK-charting singles " The Gift" and "Ajare", and their debut studio album '' Way Out West'' was released in 1997 to critical and commercial success. Their 2001 follow-up, ''Intensify'', also garnered chart success, along with its singles "The Fall", "Intensify" and "Mindcircus", the latter of which reached number one on the UK Dance Chart. Way Out West temporarily became a trio in 2004 with the addition of singer Omi (Emma Everett) for their third studio album, ''Don't Look Now''. Bristol
Bristol () is a city, ceremonial county and unitary authority in England. ''Way Out West'' is the eponymous debut studio album by English electronic music duo Way Out West. It was released on 1 September 1997 by the since defunct record label Deconstruction Records, and peaked at 42 in the UK Albums Chart that year. The album includes its four singles, "Ajare", " The Gift", "Domination", and "Blue". Background The album's release was promoted by its four singles: "Ajare", " The Gift", "Domination" and "Blue", all released on Deconstruction Records. "The Gift" remains the group's highest charted song on the UK Singles Chart to date, peaking at number #15. Both "The Gift" and "Domination" peaked at number 2 on the UK Dance Chart. Orbital (band)
Orbital are an English electronic music duo from Otford, Kent, England, consisting of brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll. The band's name is taken from Greater London's orbital motorway, the M25, which was central to the early rave scene during the early days of acid house. Additionally, the cover art on three of their albums showcase stylised atomic orbitals. Orbital have been critically and commercially successful, known particularly for their live improvisation during shows. They were initially influenced by early electro and punk rock. Career Early years In 1989, Orbital recorded " Chime" on their father's 4 track tape deck, which they released on Oh Zone Records in December 1989 and re-released on FFRR Records a few months later. Paul Van Dyk
Matthias Paul (; born 16 December 1971), known professionally as Paul van Dyk () is a German DJ, record producer and musician. One of the first true renowned DJs, van Dyk was the first artist to receive a Grammy Award nomination in the newly added category of Best Dance/Electronic album for his 2003 release '' Reflections''. He was named the World's number one DJ in both 2005 and 2006, something few DJs have ever achieved. He was the first ever DJ to be named number one by ''Mixmag'' in 2005. By 2008, he had sold over 3 million albums worldwide. Reel 2 Real was an American hip house musical project that had seven top 10 hits on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in the 1990s. Biography The project's core member was producer and DJ Erick Morillo from New York City, who spent a portion of his childhood living in Colombia and also in Union City, New Jersey. The first release as Reel 2 Real was " The New Anthem" which spent a week at No. 1 on the US Dance Chart in 1992. Although it peaked at No. 8 on the dance chart, Reel 2 Real is best known for the song "I Like to Move It", which featured Trinidadian toaster Mark Quashie, also known as The Mad Stuntman. Alexander Paul Coe (born 4 September 1969), known professionally as Sasha, is a Welsh DJ and record producer. He is best known for his live events and electronic music as a solo artist, as well as his collaborations with British DJ John Digweed as Sasha & John Digweed. He was voted as World No. 1 DJ in 2000 in a poll conducted by ''DJ Magazine''. He is a four-time International Dance Music Awards winner, four-time DJ Awards winner and Grammy Award nominee. A remix (or reorchestration) is a piece of media which has been altered or contorted from its original state by adding, removing, or changing pieces of the item. ''Tuesday Maybe'' is the fifth studio album by English electronic music duo Way Out West, released on 16 June 2017 on Anjunadeep. It is the duo's first album after their near eight-year hiatus. The album was preceded with the release of its titular single on 19 February 2016, and "Set My Mind" on 9 September 2016. Additionally, three singles were released in the following year: "Oceans" (featuring Liu Bei), "The Call" (featuring Doe Paoro) and "Slam". On 2 February 2018, a remix album titled ''Tuesday Maybe (Remixed)'' was released on digital download stores. On 20 April 2018, an EP comprising chill-out mixes of tracks from the album, titled ''Sunday Maybe'', was released. ''We Love Machine'' is the fourth studio album by English electronic music duo Way Out West, released on 21 September 2009 by Hope Recordings. The album is considered the group's move away from the trip hop genre and a further venture into their progressive house style, and gathered generally positive reviews. It features the lead single and EP "Only Love", and web exclusive release, "Future Perfect". On 19 April 2010, a remix album was released, titled '' We Love Machine – The Remixes''. ''Don't Look Now'' is the third studio album by English electronic music group Way Out West (duo), Way Out West. It was released on 5 October 2004 on Distinct'ive Records. It is the only studio album by Way Out West as a trio, with the addition of singer Omi (Emma Everett). The album peaked at number 137 on the UK Albums Chart on release. Background ''Don't Look Now'' is Way Out West's second and final album release on Distinct'ive Records. The album's lead single, "Anything but You", was released on 21 June 2004 and peaked at 97 on the UK Singles Chart that year. This was followed by the album's release later that year, on 5 October 2004.
