Waves (festival)
Waves is the annual cultural festival of BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus. It is a three-day-long festival held in the late October – early November period. It is a cultural festival that is held annually to celebrate music, dance and art. It is an inter college festival with students coming in to participate in events and competitions from across the country. The first edition of Waves was in 2006. Events include Dance, Drama, Literature, Comedy, Fashion and Music. Elimination rounds to many of these events are held across various cities in India during the months before the festival. History Waves actually sees its roots in an intra-college festival organised in 2005. Waves as an inter-college festival was first organised in 2006, which was then a regional cultural festival in Goa. Many colleges from Goa and Mumbai participated in Waves in the subsequent years. Birla Institute Of Technology And Science, Pilani – Goa Campus
Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani – Goa Campus (and known in short as BITS Pilani, Goa Campus) is a private deemed university campus located in Goa, India. Established in 2004, it is one of the four campuses of the BITS Pilani. The Aditya Birla Group privately supports the residential features of the institute. In April 2011, following the August 2008 death of the Chancellor, Krishna Kumar Birla, the campus was renamed as Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani K. K. Birla Goa Campus in his memory. In August 2011, the campus held its first ever convocation ceremony, during which 580 graduates were awarded their degrees. Kailash Kher
Kailash Kher (born 7 July 1973) is an Indian music composer and singer. He sings songs with a music style influenced by Indian folk music and Sufi music. He was inspired by the classical musicians' Pandit Kumar Gandharva, Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, and the Qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Kailash Kher received the Padma Shri award in 2017 from the Indian government. He has also received two Filmfare Awards for Best Male Playback Singer: one for the Hindi film ''Fanaa'' (2006) and one for the Telugu film ''Mirchi'' (2013), along with several other nominations. Marnik is an Italian progressive house duo formed by Alessandro Martello and Emanuele Longo. Quinten van den Berg (; born ), known professionally as Quintino, is a Dutch DJ and record producer. Notable releases include a remix of "Rap das Armas", "Selecta", "Go Hard" and "Fatality". In 2019 he was named No. 25 in the Top 100 DJs list put out by ''DJ Magazine''. Music career At the age of 18, Quintino was discovered by Dutch DJ Laidback Luke, who assisted him developing a career. Nucleya
Udyan Sagar, better known by his stage name Nucleya, is an Indian electronic music producer. Career In 1998 he co-founded Bandish Projekt with Mayur Narvekar and Mehirr Nath Choppra. In 2007, Udyan left Bandish Projekt after working with Mayur for about 12 years, and rebuilt himself as "Nucleya". After leaving Bandish Projekt his career struggled quite a bit initially. He drew inspiration from South Indian film music and Indian street music, and released his first EP "Koocha Monster" in 2013. Tony Junior
Tony Claessens (born 21 October 1989), better known by his stage name Tony Junior, is a Dutch DJ and record producer from Utrecht. He has released a number of charting singles and is best known for his collaborations with DVBBS, Nervo and Tiësto. Agam (band)
Agam is a Bangalore-based contemporary Carnatic progressive rock band. The band was formed in the year 2003. The current lineup consists of Harish Sivaramakrishnan (vocals) Swamy Seetharaman (keyboards and lyricist), T Praveen Kumar (lead guitar), Aditya Kasyap (bass guitar and backing vocals), Sivakumar Nagarajan (ethnic percussions), Jagadish Natarajan (rhythm guitar) and Yadhunandan (Drummer). Parikrama (band)
Parikrama is a rock band from Delhi, India, formed in 1991 in Delhi. The band is considered to be one of Asia's biggest rock groups; Parikrama toured internationally with Iron Maiden in 2007, playing at the Download Festival in England.
