Wattlebank is a rural locality in the Livingstone Shire, Queensland, Australia. In the , Wattlebank had a population of 74 people. Geography The terrain varies from above sea level. The land use is grazing on native vegetation. History Barmoya Central State School opened on 28 August 1918. In February 1930, the school was closed because it had only seven students; it was suggested that the school should be moved to a more central location. In October 1931, it was proposed to relocate the school building to Rossmoya Road where 16 students could attend the school, but some parents thought it was too distant for their children to travel to and from the school each day. In June 1932, it was decided to move the school to Rossmoya Road, but, in March 1933, the government said there were insufficient funds available to move the school at that time. Rockhampton is a city in the Rockhampton Region of Central Queensland, Australia. Kawana is a suburb of Rockhampton in the Rockhampton Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Kawana had a population of 4,426 people. Geography Kawana is bordered to the west by the Fitzroy River, to the north by Limestone Creek, to the east by Yaamba Road (part of the Bruce Highway), and to the south by Richardson Road. Glenmore is a neighbourhood within the north-west of the suburb (). The North Coast railway line enters the suburb from the south (Park Avenue) and exits to the north (Parkhurst). From 1861 to 2020, ''The Morning Bulletin'' was published as a print edition, before then becoming an exclusively online newspaper. The final print edition was published on 27 June 2020. History The first issue of ''The Bulletin'' was launched on 9 July 1861. It is the second oldest business in Rockhampton, the oldest being the Criterion Hotel which was established in October 1860. Pastoralism is a form of animal husbandry where domesticated animals (known as "livestock") are released onto large vegetated outdoor lands (pastures) for grazing, historically by nomadic people who moved around with their herds. Livingstone Shire
The Shire of Livingstone is a local government area located in the Capricornia region of Central Queensland, Queensland, Australia, to the immediate north and east of the regional city of Rockhampton. The shire, administered from the coastal town of Yeppoon, covers an area of , and existed as a local government entity from 1879 until 2008, when it amalgamated with several other councils to become the Rockhampton Region. The Shire was re-established on 1 January 2014 following a successful de-amalgamation referendum in 2013. Industry within the shire is diverse.
