Waterlooville F.C. was an England, English association football, football club based in Waterlooville, Hampshire. They were known as "The Ville" and played at Jubilee Park in Aston Road. They ceased to exist in 1998 when they merged with Havant Town F.C., Havant Town to form Havant & Waterlooville F.C., Havant & Waterlooville. Waterlooville is a market town in the Borough of Havant in Hampshire, England, approximately north northeast of Portsmouth. It is the largest town in the borough. The town has a population of about 64,350 and is surrounded by Purbrook, Blendworth, Cowplain, Lovedean, Clanfield, Catherington, Crookhorn, Denmead, Hambledon, Horndean and Widley. It forms part of the South Hampshire conurbation. The town formed around the old A3 London to Portsmouth road. The 1982–83 Southern Football League season was the 80th in the history of the league, an English football competition. This season saw the reintroduction of the Premier Division. AP Leamington won the Premier Division, winning their first Southern League title, whilst Kidderminster Harriers was promoted to the Alliance Premier League. Guy Whittingham
Guy Whittingham (born 10 November 1964) is an English football manager and former professional footballer. As a player, he was a striker from 1988 until 2005, notably in the Premier League for Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday. Having started his career with non-league Yeovil Town he went on to play in the Football League for Portsmouth, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Watford, Peterborough United, Oxford United and Wycombe Wanderers. Paul George Hardyman (born 11 May 1964 in Portsmouth) is an English former footballer and coach. He was a left-back for Portsmouth, Sunderland, Bristol Rovers, Barnet, Wycombe and Slough Town. He is currently Academy manager and assistant coach at Orange County Soccer Club who have just won the United Soccer League (USL). Playing career Hardyman began his playing career at Waterlooville, immediately becoming a first-team regular for the whole of the 1982–83 season in the Southern League Premier Division, playing as a winger. During that season he also appeared several times for Portsmouth Reserves in the Midweek League. He joined Portsmouth permanently in the summer of 1983, shortly after their promotion to Division Two, and was converted to a left-back.
