The women's water polo tournament at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships was held from 14 to 26 July. The United States captured their sixth overall title after defeating Spain in the final, while Australia won against Hungary to win the bronze medal. Rita Keszthelyi (born 10 December 1991) is a Hungarian water polo player. At the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics, she competed for the Hungary women's national water polo team in the women's tournament. She scored two of the goals that helped Hungary win the bronze medal match at the 2020 Olympics. She has played more than 300 water polo matches for Hungary. She was part of the Dutch team winning the silver medal at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships, where she played in the driver position. Shae La Roche (; born September 3, 1992) is a Canadian water polo player. She won the silver medal with the Women's National Team at the 2015 Pan American Games and the 2019 Pan American Games.
