Washington State University Vancouver also known as WSU Vancouver is a campus of Washington State University. WSU Vancouver is located on a campus outside of Vancouver, Washington, approximately eight miles (13 km) north of the Columbia River and 17 miles north of downtown Portland, Oregon. Washington State University (Washington State, WSU, or informally Wazzu) is a public land-grant research university with its flagship, and oldest, campus in Pullman, Washington. Firstenburg Family Fountain
The Firstenburg Family Fountain is an outdoor fountain, installed within a plaza in the center of the Washington State University Vancouver (WSUV) campus, in Vancouver, Washington, United States. Description and history The fountain was funded by Ed and Mary Firstenburg, who donated $500,000. The fountain has basalt columns and slabs, and is one of several donated by the Firstenburgs in Vancouver. The fountain won a Community Pride Design Award in 2001. Avantika Bawa (born 1973) is an Indian American artist, curator, and professor of art. Bawa is a multidisciplinary artist who works primarily in site-specific installation, video, printmaking, and drawing. She is the recipient of the 2018 Crow's Shadow Institute of the Arts Golden Spot Residency Award, the Hallie Ford Fellowship in the Visual Arts, and the Oregon Arts Commission Joan Shipley Award.
