Washington Huskies Baseball
The Washington Huskies baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball team of the University of Washington, located in Seattle, Washington, United States. The program has been a member of the NCAA Division I Pac-12 Conference since the start of the 1960 season, preceded by the Pacific Coast Conference. The team has played at Husky Ballpark since 1998; the on-campus venue was renovated extensively for the start of the 2014 season. Jason Kelly has been the program's head coach since the start of the 2023 season. The program has appeared in nine NCAA Tournaments. It has won two Pac-10 North-South Division Playoffs, six Pac-10 North Division Titles, eight PCC North Division Titles, and two PCC Regular Season Championships. Jennifer Cohen (athletic Director)
Jennifer Cohen (born 1969) is the athletic director at the University of Washington. College A native of Tacoma, Washington, Cohen graduated from San Diego State University in 1991, then earned a master's degree in physical education with an emphasis in sports administration, from Pacific Lutheran University in 1994. Career Cohen became interim athletic director at the University of Washington on February 1, 2016. On May 25, 2016, Cohen became the seventeenth athletic director of the University of Washington. At the time of her appointment, Cohen was one of just three female athletic directors in the Power Five conferences and the only female AD in the Pac-12. Cohen worked as an athletics administrator at Pacific Lutheran University, the University of Puget Sound, and Texas Tech University, as well as the University of Washington beginning in 1998. The Navy Midshipmen baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, United States. The team is a member of the Patriot League, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. Navy's first baseball team was fielded in 1893. The team plays its home games at Terwilliger Brothers Field at Max Bishop Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland. The Midshipmen are coached by Paul Kostacopoulos. The Pepperdine Waves baseball team represents Pepperdine University in the sport of baseball. The Pepperdine Waves compete in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and in the West Coast Conference. They are currently led by head coach Rick Hirtensteiner. 1992 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament
The 1992 NCAA Division I baseball tournament was played at the end of the 1992 NCAA Division I baseball season to determine the national champion of college baseball. The tournament concluded with eight teams competing in the College World Series, a double-elimination tournament in its forty sixth year. Eight regional competitions were held to determine the participants in the final event. Each region was composed of six teams, resulting in 48 teams participating in the tournament at the conclusion of their regular season, and in some cases, after a conference tournament. The forty-sixth tournament's champion was Pepperdine, coached by Andy Lopez. The Most Outstanding Player was Phil Nevin of Cal State Fullerton. Ken Lehman
Kenneth Karl Lehman (June 10, 1928 – December 4, 2010) was a relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who pitched for three different teams between the 1952 and 1961 seasons. Listed at , , he batted and threw left-handed. Born in Seattle, Washington, Lehman was signed by the Brooklyn Dodgers organization in 1946 out of Kirkland High School and entered on their farm system in 1947. He played four seasons, reaching the Hollywood Stars of the Pacific Coast League in 1950 before enlisting during Korean War. Following military discharge, Lehman made his major league debut with the Dodgers in 1952 and later pitched two scoreless innings in Game 2 of the 1952 World Series against the New York Yankees. After three successful years with the Montreal Royals of the International League, Lehman returned to the Dodgers for the entire 1956 season. American Football
American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or passing it, while the defense, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and to take control of the ball for themselves.
