Sayeeda Warsi, Baroness Warsi
Sayeeda Hussain Warsi, Baroness Warsi, (; born 28 March 1971) is a British lawyer, politician, and member of the House of Lords who served as co-Chairwoman of the Conservative Party from 2010 to 2012. She served in the Cameron–Clegg coalition, first as the Minister without portfolio between 2010 and 2012, then as the Minister of State for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (styled as "Senior Minister of State") and as the Minister of State for Faith and Communities, until her resignation citing her disagreement with the Government's policy relating to the Israel–Gaza conflict in August 2014. Warsi grew up in a family of Pakistani Muslim immigrants living in West Yorkshire. She became a solicitor with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Arshad Warsi
Arshad Warsi (born 19 April 1968) is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi films. He is the recipient of several awards including a Filmfare Award from five nominations and is noted for acting in varied film genres. Before making his acting debut, also served as an assistant director to Mahesh Bhatt in ''Kaash'' (1987) and also choreographed a song in ''Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja'' (1993). Muzaffar Warsi
Muzaffar Warsi (23 December 1933 – 28 January 2011; ur, مظفر وارثی) was a Pakistani poet, essayist, lyricist, and a scholar of Urdu. He began writing more than five decades ago. He wrote a rich collection of na`ats, as well as several anthologies of ghazals and nazms, and his autobiography ''Gaye Dinon Ka Suraagh''. He also wrote quatrains for Pakistan's daily newspaper '' Nawa-i-Waqt''. Warsi Brothers are an Indian Qawwali musical group, consisting of brothers Nazeer Ahmed Khan Warsi and Naseer Ahmed Khan Warsi (the Qawwāls), along with eight accompanists (the ''humnawa'' or party). They are based in Hyderabad. Family of qawwals Nazeer and Naseer are the sons of Zaheer Ahmed Khan Warsi, who along with his father, Aziz Ahmed Khan Warsi, constituted the previous incarnation of the Warsi Brothers. Nisha Warsi (born 9 July 1995) is an Indian field hockey player from Sonipat Haryana competed in 2020 Summer Olympics (Tokyo Olympic). Early life Nisha Warsi had modest aspirations as a child. She had always had a strong desire to participate in sports, but she wanted to do it in a way that would not drain her parents’ bank account. Her family couldn't afford much, so any opportunity to earn money via sports was always appreciated. She went with hockey. Perween Warsi (born 10 August 1956), was the founder and Chief Executive of S&A Foods until 2015. Biography Warsi was born in Muzaffarpur in India in 1956 and moved to the United Kingdom in 1975. She began her business making ethnic finger foods from her kitchen. In 1986, after being appalled by the quality of a supermarket-purchased samosa, she founded S&A foods, winning her first major contract to supply chilled and frozen dishes to Asda and Morrisons stores, having secured the contract via blind tasting. In 1987, S&A Foods was acquired by the Hughes Food Group (which would ultimately go into receivership in 1990), with the resulting investment injection allowing them to open the first S&A Foods factory, in Derby, creating over 100 jobs for the area. He is a member of the faculty at Washington University in St. Louis, where he serves as a lecturer in the Department of Jewish, Islamic, and Near Eastern Languages and Cultures. Ram Ekbal Singh Warsi ( – 10 October 2016), also spelled Ram Iqbal Worsi, was an Indian freedom fighter, social thinker from Bhojpur, Bihar. Warsi was the name of his native village, which he added to his last name. Biography Ram Eqbal worked in Rohtas Group of Industries as a manual worker, and became an activist for Indian Independence in 1938. In 1942, he participated in the Quit India Movement and was imprisoned, where he met socialist leaders Jayaprakash Narayan and Ram Manohar Lohia. He joined Subash Chandra Bose's Indian National Army in 1943. Socialist leader Ram Manohar Lohia had named Warsi as Gandhi of Piro (''Piro ke Gandhi'') in 1956, for his strong socialist views.
