Warsaw Marathon
The Warsaw Marathon ( Polish: ''Maraton Warszawski'' pronunced: , also referred to as the PZU Warsaw Marathon) is an annual marathon event which takes place on the streets of Warsaw, Poland. It is the oldest annual marathon in Poland, held since 1979. The marathon is organized by the non-governmental organization Fundacja Maraton Warszawski. The race usually takes place on the last Sunday of September. It is one of two marathons hosted in the city, alongside the Orlen Warsaw Marathon, generally held in April. The marathon is one of five in the Crown of Polish Marathons program, along with the Dębno, Kraków, Poznań, and Wrocław Marathons. Polish competitors have traditionally triumphed in the early editions of the event both in the men's and women's competitions. Rebecca, ; Syriac: , ) from the Hebrew (lit., 'connection'), from Semitic root , 'to tie, couple or join', 'to secure', or 'to snare') () appears in the Hebrew Bible as the wife of Isaac and the mother of Jacob and Esau. Dadi Yami
Dadi Yami Gemeda (born 1982) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes in the marathon. His personal best for the distance is 2:05:41 hours. Born and raised in the rural areas to the north of Addis Ababa, Dadi's birth date is unknown due to poor record keeping and is estimated to be in 1982. He began working with athletics manager Jos Hermens and began training for the marathon with his group. He made his debut over the distance at the 2011 Eindhoven Marathon and managed ninth place with a time of 2:11:04 hours. The 2012 Dubai Marathon saw him make a significant breakthrough with a run of 2:05:41 hours. His biggest success to date is the silver medal at the 2014 European Championships in Zürich. Miodowa (lit. ''Honey Street'') is a street in Warsaw's Old Town. More precisely, it links the Krakowskie (Cracow Suburb) Street in with Krasiński Square. It is also the name of a street in the Kazimierz district in Kraków. History In the 16th century Miodowa Street was renowned for its gingerbread shops; hence its name.
