Warren Motte
Warren F. Motte is a Professor of French and Comparative Literature at the University of Colorado Boulder. His focus is contemporary writing, with an emphasis upon experimental, avant-garde, or other subversive forms of both fiction and poetry. Motte has authored or edited many volumes of literary criticism, including the first book-length study of the renowned French writer Georges Perec, an authoritative book on the experimental writing group known as Oulipo, and major studies of other writers such as Edmond Jabès, Marie NDiaye, Christine Montalbetti, Antoine Volodine, and Jean Rolin. Motte's recent books include ''Mirror Gazing'' (Dalkey Archive Press, 2014), a study of over 12,000 mirror scenes in literature, and ''French Fiction Today'' (Dalkey Archive Press, 2017), devoted to the contemporary French novel. Jean Rolin (writer)
Jean Philippe Rolin (born June 14, 1949, Boulogne-Billancourt) is a French writer and journalist. He received the Albert Londres Prize for journalism in 1988, and his novel ''L'organisation'' received the Medicis award in 1996. His brother Olivier Rolin is also a writer. As students, Rolin and his brother participated in the May 1968 uprising. Gerald Prince
Gerald J. Prince (born November 7, 1942 in Alexandria, Egypt) is an American academic and literary theoretician. He is Professor of Romance Languages at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is also affiliated with department of Linguistics and the Program in Comparative Literature, and with the Annenberg School for Communication. Prince received his Ph.D. from Brown University (1968). He is a leading scholar of narrative poetics, and has helped to shape the discipline of narratology, developing key concepts such as the narratee, narrativity, the disnarrated, and narrative grammar. In addition to his theoretical work, he is a distinguished critic of contemporary French literature, and is regarded as an authority on the French novel of the twentieth century. Nathaniel Warren Seth Motte (born January 13, 1984) is an American recording artist, record producer, and film composer from Boulder, Colorado. He is a member of the electropop duo 3OH!3 with Sean Foreman. Life and career Motte was born to a French mother and an American father, Dr. Warren Motte, distinguished professor of French Literature at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has one brother. Motte attended Foothills Elementary, Casey Middle School, Boulder High School, and the University of Colorado at Boulder.
