Warren Miller (author)
Warren Miller (August 31, 1921 – April 1, 1966) was an American writer. Although he gained some fame for his books dealing with issues of race, as in ''The Cool World'' (1959) and ''The Siege of Harlem'' (1964), and for his more political books such as ''Looking for The General'' (1964) and ''Flush Times'' (1962), because of his early death due to lung cancer and his outspoken political views he has remained relatively unknown. Biography He was born in a village in Pennsylvania where his grandfather kept the general store. He enrolled at the University of Iowa but part way through his studies he joined the US Army. While in uniform he took part in the Normandy invasion. After the war he returned to complete his education and received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Iowa, and was an instructor of literature there during the 1950s. Warren Edward Miller (March 26, 1924 – January 30, 1999) was an American political scientist in the field of American political behavior. Best known as a co-author of the seminal book, ''The American Voter'', alongside Angus Campbell, Philip Converse and Donald Stokes, which provided the basis for the social-psychological "Michigan school" of thought in American political behavior, Miller had a full and impressive career as a political scientist. Miller is further credited as founder of Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research ( ICPSR) at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor as well as a central figure in the bi-yearly National Election Studies (NES). Miller was a professor of political science at the University of Michigan from 1951 until 1981 when he left for Arizona State University where he worked until his death. Warren Miller (director)
Warren A. Miller (October 15, 1924 – January 24, 2018) was an American ski and snowboarding filmmaker. He was the founder of Warren Miller Entertainment and produced, directed and narrated films until 1988. His published works include over 750 sports films, several books and hundreds of non-fiction articles. Miller was inducted into the U.S. Ski Hall of Fame (1978), the Colorado Ski Hall of Fame (1995), and was awarded Lifetime Achievement Awards from the International Skiing History Association (2004) and the California Ski Industry Association (2008). Biography Early years Warren Anthony Miller was born in Hollywood, Los Angeles, to Helena Humphrey Miller and Albert Lincoln Miller. He had two older sisters, Mary Helen Miller and Betty Jane "BJ" Miller. As a young man he took up the hobbies of skiing, surfing, and photography. At the age of 18, with the U.S. ten months into World War II, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in the South Pacific.

Warren Fredrick Miller (born June 15, 1953) is an American former professional ice hockey player. He played 238 games in the World Hockey Association and 262 games in the National Hockey League between 1976 and 1983. Internationally Miller played for the American national team at the 1977 and 1981 World Championships and the 1981 Canada Cup. Playing career After playing for South St. Paul High School in Minnesota, Miller enrolled at the University of Minnesota where he had a four-year collegiate career. Miller helped the Golden Gophers to two NCAA championship titles in his sophomore (1974) and senior (1976) seasons while playing for Hall of Fame coach Herb Brooks.
