Warren H. Vinton
Warren H. Vinton (1825 – March 13, 1907) was an American politician from Maine. Vinton represented Gray, Maine, in the Maine House of Representatives and was elected from Cumberland County to the Maine Senate in five separate elections. In 1878, Vinton was elected Senate President. A Republican, Vinton ran for governor as an Independent Republican in 1882. He received only 289 votes and finished in 5th and last place to Republican Frederick Robie Frederick Robie (August 12, 1822 – February 3, 1912) was an American physician and politician who most notably served as the 39th Governor of Maine. Gray is a town in Cumberland County, Maine, United States. The population was 8,269 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Portland– South Portland–Biddeford, Maine metropolitan statistical area. Gray is located at the intersection of state Routes 4, 26, 100, 115, 202 and the Maine Turnpike exit 63 midway between the state's two largest cities, Portland and Lewiston. The town includes frontage on Little Sebago Lake, Crystal Lake, and Forest Lake.
