Warren Furutani
Warren T. Furutani (born October 16, 1947) is an American politician who served in the California State Assembly from 2008 to 2012. He is a Democratic Party (United States), Democrat and a fourth-generation Japanese American. Furutani was elected in a February 2008 California state elections#State Assembly District 55 special election, special election in 2008. He replaced Laura Richardson in California's 55th State Assembly district. Prior to being elected, he served on the Los Angeles Unified School District and then the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees. He was the first Asian Pacific American ever elected to the LAUSD in 1987 and became the board's president in 1991. Education Furutani graduated from Gardena High School in 1965. Anthony Portantino
Anthony J. Portantino (born January 29, 1961) is an American politician currently serving in the California State Senate. A Democrat, he represents the 25th Senate District which encompasses portions of the San Fernando and San Gabriel valleys. Portantino was a member of the California State Assembly from 2006 to 2012, representing the 44th Assembly District. Portantino has a history of blocking efforts to increase housing production in California. In 2019, he used a pocket veto to block the California Senate from considering SB 50, which would have allowed for denser housing construction near public transit. Donald Wagner
Donald P. Wagner (born December 3, 1960) is an American politician, currently serving as a member of the Orange County Board of Supervisors for the 3rd district and vice chair.
