Warrant is an American glam metal band formed in 1984 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, that experienced success from 1989 to 1996 with five albums reaching international sales of over 10 million. The band first came into the national spotlight with their double platinum debut album '' Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich'' and one of its singles, "Heaven", which reached No. 1 in ''Rolling Stone'' and No. 2 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Joseph Alan Cagle, known professionally as Joey Allen, is best known as the lead guitarist of the American glam metal band Warrant. Allen was born as Joseph Alan Cagle on June 23, 1964, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and grew up in Irvine, California. His father is a retired electronics executive, while his mother worked for the Irvine Unified School District. He has two older sisters. Allen played in approximately 20 bands before joining Warrant. Heaven is a power ballad by American glam metal band Warrant. It was released in July 1989, as the second single from Warrant's debut album ''Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich''. The song is Warrant's most commercially successful single, spending two weeks at number two on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, and number three on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The track's commercial success has led it to becoming one of the best known songs by the band. Background "Heaven" took Warrant's record company by surprise. Indeed, once the widespread appeal of the song became apparent, the band was instructed to re-record the track to lend it a "bigger radio sound". Michael Foster (born December 9, 1964) is an American musician and the drummer of rock band FireHouse. Biography Foster was born in Richmond, Virginia to James Ernest and Patricia (née Valenti) Foster. He has a younger brother called Daniel Sean. When he was 5 years old, his mother gave him his first real drum set and he dedicated hours to practice it. He played in school bands and eventually learned music theory as well as other percussive instruments. James Kottak (born December 26, 1962) is an American drummer. Kottak is best known for his work with the German hard rock band Scorpions, which he joined in 1996. At the time of his firing from the band in 2016, he was their all-time longest-serving drummer, surpassing Herman Rarebell, who spent 18 years in the band. Career Prior to joining Scorpions, Kottak was a drummer for the Bob Brickley Band, Nut House, Mister Charlie, Buster Brown, Montrose, Kingdom Come, Wild Horses, the McAuley Schenker Group, Warrant, and Ashba.
