Warneet is a town in Victoria, Australia, south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Casey local government area. Warneet recorded a population of 565 at the . Warneet is located at the head of the large bay of Western Port. For education, most children go to Tooradin Primary School or Koo Wee Rup Secondary College. History Warneet Post Office opened on 1 July 1959 and closed in 1993. Transport Melbourne bus routes operate regularly with several stops located within the town. The town is also easily accessible by car via the South Gippsland Highway, however there is no train station in the town. The City of Casey is a local government area in Victoria, Australia in the outer south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Casey is Victoria's most populous municipality, with a June 2018 population of 340,419. It has an area of . South Gippsland Highway
The South Gippsland Highway is a partially divided highway in Victoria, Australia which connects the city of Melbourne with the South Gippsland region of Victoria, ending in the town of Sale. The highway begins at Lonsdale Street (Princes Highway), Dandenong. At the Greens Road intersection, it adopts Metropolitan Route 12 until Pound Road, then continues until the South Gippsland Freeway / Western Port Highway interchange where it becomes the M420.
