Ware F.C. is a football club established in 1892 and based at Wodson Park in Ware, Hertfordshire, England, currently members of the . History The club was founded in 1892 and although first called Ware Town soon changed its name to plain Ware FC. The club has held senior status from its very beginning, entering the Herts Senior Cup for the first time in 1893, and winning the cup on the first of five occasions in 1899 with a 2–1 win over Hitchin at St Albans. By this time Ware had been instrumental in founding the East Herts League and had won its championship on two of the three times it had been competed for. The club was to win it five more times before moving on to the North Middlesex League in 1907 and then also to the Herts County League in 1908. The championship of the latter came that season in a three-way play off against St Albans City and Welwyn. FA Youth Cup
The Football Association Youth Challenge Cup is an English football competition run by The Football Association for under-18 sides. Only those players between the age of 15 and 18 on 31 August of the current season are eligible to take part. It is dominated by the youth sides of professional teams, mostly from the Premier League, but attracts over 400 entrants from throughout the country. At the end of the Second World War the FA organised a Youth Championship for County Associations considering it the best way to stimulate the game among those youngsters not yet old enough to play senior football. The matches did not attract large crowds but outstanding players were selected for Youth Internationals and thousands were given the chance to play in a national contest for the first time. Derek Saunders
Derek Saunders (6 January 1928 – 3 March 2018) was an English footballer who played for Chelsea during the 1950s. Biography Born in Ware, for whose Spartan League side he made 31 appearances in 1945–46 as its youngest ever captain, Saunders played in a number of positions. He matured into a wing-half and furthered his career with amateur side Walthamstow Avenue, who he captained in their 1952 FA Amateur Cup Final win. He joined Chelsea in June 1953 and immediately turned professional, making his club debut against Sheffield United. Saunders was a member of Chelsea's 1954–55 Championship-winning team. He was one of only two players to play in every game that season. Saunders' position meant that he rarely scored goals, but he scored a crucial one against West Bromwich Albion to put Chelsea 3-2 ahead after they had trailed 0–2; they eventually won 4–2. Scott Neilson
Scott Steven Neilson (born 15 May 1987) is an English-born Welsh former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Neilson started his career alongside his brother, at first Hertford Town and then Ware, before he earned a move to Cambridge City. He made his name in non-league as a goal-scoring winger and he came to the attention of a number of league clubs. He had trials with three of them and eventually won a move to League Two side Bradford City. He scored a goal on his full debut but Bradford soon changed manager and Neilson dropped back into non-league, first out on loan to Cambridge United and then signed by Crawley Town, having spent less than 12 months with Bradford. Ryan Maxwell (born 18 May 1993) is an Irish football manager and former semi-professional footballer who is currently manager of Sittingbourne. Maxwell previously played in the Scottish Football League for Hamilton Academical and Raith Rovers as well as a number of non-League football teams in England. Micah Anthony Hyde (born 10 November 1974) is a coach and former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is currently Head Coach for Queens Park Rangers Under 18's. He played for Cambridge United and Finnish club Euran Pallo before joining Watford. Marvin Hamilton-Omole (born 8 October 1988), commonly known as Marvin Hamilton, is a former professional footballer. Born in England, he represented the Sri Lanka national team. Carlos Simeon (born 17 February 2005) is a Seychellois footballer who currently plays for Ware FC and the Seychelles national team. Club career Simeon was born in the La Louise in Plaisance, Seychelles. He and his family moved to the North London, England at age 7. He began playing football at age 11 or 12. As a youth he played for Finchley Revolution before moving to Alexandra Park. He then moved to Hendon where he decided to focus on a career in football. He spent the 2015/2016 season with Hendon's under-18 squad as the team finished fourth in its league. After playing for Hendon's under-16 and under-18 teams, he moved to Tower Hamlets.
