Warcry (band)
WarCry is a Spanish power metal band led by founder, singer, and songwriter Víctor García. Formed in 2001 when García and drummer Alberto Ardines were ejected from Avalanch, the band has since released seven studio albums and two live albums, with an eighth studio album currently in progress. WarCry has had a fluctuating lineup with García as the sole constant member. The band has been acclaimed as one of Spain's most famous heavy metal acts and has won numerous awards in both Spain and Latin America. History Early days and debut: 2001–2002 In the middle of 2001, while working in Spanish power metal band Avalanch, vocalist Víctor García and drummer Alberto Ardines decided to record an album with the songs they had been composing in their spare time. Benicàssim
Benicàssim (; es, Benicasim ; ar, بنو قاسم, translit=banū qāsim, or ar, بني قاسم, translit=banī qāsim, label=none, according to numismatic findings) is a municipality and beach resort located in the province of Castelló (province), Castelló, on the Costa del Azahar in Spain. The Desert de les Palmes mountain range further inland shelters the town from the north wind. The name is derived from the Banu Qasim tribe, a segment of the Kutama Berbers that settled the area during the 8th century Moorish conquest of Spain. Rafael Yugueros
Rafael Yugueros (born 8 September 1977 in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain) is the drummer of the power metal band WarCry where he played, until the band's split, and rejoined in September, 2007. With influences from Metallica, U2, Pink Floyd, The Police, Led Zeppelin and Death. Career In 1986, when The Final Countdown was released Yugueros, along with his cousin, built a home-made drum composed of, cans?!! From that moment he never got away from the drums, and music in general, especially Rock and Metal, but he liked Jazz too, after listening to The Jazz Messengers, by Art Blakey. WarCry (album)
''WarCry'' is the first full-length album by Spanish power metal band WarCry, released on April 17, 2002 through Avispa Music. Overview While working in Avalanch, singer Víctor García and drummer Alberto Ardines decided to release an album with the songs they had composed in their spare time, as those were not accepted in the band. All the songs dealt mostly with epic stories, immortal warriors, and personal experiences. Both members were later expelled from Avalanch, due to be working on a project behind the band's back. They decided create a band as they already had an "open path". The album was produced by themselves; recorded, mixed, and edited in Jaus Records, with cover and graphic design by Ricardo Menéndez (represented by Rick-Art). Pablo García (musician)
Pablo García Fernández (born December 26, 1976 in Oviedo, Spain) is a guitarist, for the power metal band WarCry. Career Pablo's first contact with a guitar emerges at the age of 16, in the summer of 1993, on a self-taught, and decides to dedicate most of his time to that instrument. Leading him to form his first band with some friends. When everything becomes a little bit more serious he joins WarCry in 1996. Later he would become part of another local band Presto recording an EP "''Disciples Of Fear''" covering some Yngwie Malmsteen's songs in the salon ''Quatro De Avilés''. During that time he attends to the Instituto de Música y Tecnología (IMT) in Madrid in the month of July where they mainly studied harmony. Álvaro Jardón
Álvaro Jardón (born November 13, 1977 in Oviedo, Asturias) is a Spanish bassist, who played in the Power metal bands WarCry and Darna. Career In 1997, when Jardón was 19, he met Víctor García and joined him to form part of WarCry. The next year, after their recording of the album "Llanto De Un Héroe", Víctor left to be a part of Avalanch. Warcry was unsuccessful after Victor left, so a year later Jardón joined Darna. They recorded their self-titled debut album "Darna" in May 2001. After working with Darna for three years and sharing the stage with bands like Dark Moor and Ñu, Víctor García asked him to join WarCry once again.
