Warburton, Punjab, Pakistan
Warburton city also known as Mandi Warburton is a large town situated in Nankana Sahib District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is about north of Nankana Sahib and 30 km southeast of Sheikhupura.The newly constructed Karachi-Lahore Motorway has reduced the cities travel time from Lahore greatly. The city was named by or after John Paul Warburton (1840–1919), a high-ranking police officer of the Raj period. John Paul Warburton is widely acknowledged for his campaign against dacoits who lived in forests nearby and looted travellers. The Warburton's were a prominent Anglo-Indian family, but John Paul was adopted, originally being called Jan Dad Khan. His residence at that time was turned into a high school which is still functional. This area is surrounded by industries. There is a police station, a post office and a girls degree college. Fixed telephony The area codes in Pakistan consists of two to five digits; generally smaller the city, longer the prefix. All large cities have two-digit codes. The smaller towns might have six digital whereas big cities have seven digit numbers. Azad Kashmir telephone lines contain five digits. On 1 July 2009, telephone numbers in Karachi and Lahore were changed from seven digits to eight digits. Pakistan Standard Time ( ur, , abbreviated as PKT) is UTC+05:00 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time. The time zone is in use during standard time in Asia. History Pakistan had been following UTC+05:30 since 1907 (during the British Raj) and continued using it after independence in 1947. Nankana Sahib District ( pa, ; ur, ) is a district in the Punjab province of Pakistan. Nankana Sahib is the seat of the district government, and Shahkot is the largest urban center. The district of Nankana Sahib is located about west of Lahore and about east of Faisalabad. Until 2005, it was part of Sheikhupura District. Nankana Sahib
Nankana Sahib () is a city and capital of Nankana Sahib District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is named after the first Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Nanak, who was born in the city and first began preaching here. Nankana Sahib is the most important religious site for the Sikh religion. It is located about west of Lahore and about east of Faisalabad. According to the census of 2017 the city has a population of 79,540 inhabitants. Sheikhupura ( pa, ; ur, ) also known as Qila Sheikhupura, is a city in the Pakistani province of Punjab, Pakistan, Punjab.
