Desan Kaur
Sardarni Desan Kaur Waraich (1740 – 1794), also known as Mai Desan was the regent of the Sukerchakia Misl during the minority of her son from 1770. She was the wife of Sardar Charat Singh and the mother of Sardar Maha Singh. Her grandson, Maharaja Ranjit Singh was the founder of the Sikh Empire. Early life and marriage Bibi Desan Kaur Waraich was born to Sardar Amir Singh Waraich possibly in the year 1740. Sardar Amir Singh, was a very old Sikh Chieftain of Gujranwala, belonging to the Waraich Jat Clan. She had two elder brothers Dal Singh and Gurbaksh Singh, and a sister. Gurpreet Singh Waraich (born 19 July 1971), commonly known as Gurpreet Ghuggi, is an Indian actor, comedian and politician. He is known for his works in Punjabi and Hindi films. Prem Kaur
Maharani Prem Kaur, was the queen consort of Maharaja Sher Singh, the fourth Maharaja of the Sikh Empire. She was the daughter of Lambardar Hari Singh Warraich a Jat Sikh of the village of Ladhewala Waraich, in Gujranwala district of the Punjab, In 1822 she was married to Prince Sher Singh, the elder of the twins of Maharani Mehtab Kaur and Maharaja Ranjit Singh, founder of the Sikh Empire. In 1831, she gave birth to Shahzada Partap Singh. Installed as Heir Apparent with the title of Tika Sahib Yuvraj Bahadur (Crown Prince) at Lahore Fort, 27th January 1841. He was later brutally murdered by Sardar Lahina Singh Sandhanvalia, near Shalamar Bagh in Lahore on September 15, 1843 at the age of 12.
