War Memorial Drive
War Memorial Drive is a connecting road in the South Australian capital of Adelaide. It starts from Bundeys Road near Princess Highway, runs in a western direction following the River Torrens, past the Adelaide Zoo, Adelaide University, Adelaide Oval and past Bonython Park into North Adelaide. Along the road, there are numerous statues of significant Australians and war heroes. Adelaide city centre (Kaurna: Tarndanya) is the inner city locality of Greater Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia. Princess Highway
Princes Highway is a major road in Australia, extending from Sydney via Melbourne to Adelaide through the states of New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. It has a length of (along Highway 1) or via the former alignments of the highway, although these routes are slower and connections to the bypassed sections of the original route are poor in many cases. The highway follows the coastline for most of its length, and thus takes quite an indirect and lengthy route. For example, it is from Sydney to Melbourne on Highway 1 as opposed to on the more direct Hume Highway ( National Highway 31), and from Melbourne to Adelaide compared to on the Western and Dukes Highways ( National Highway 8).
