''Wanted'' (Swedish: ''Efterlyst'') is a 1939 Swedish drama film directed by Schamyl Bauman and starring Edvin Adolphson, Birgit Rosengren and Elof Ahrle.Qvist & Von Bagh p.30 It was shot at the Centrumateljéerna Studios in Stockholm. Schamyl Bauman
Magnus Schamyl Bauman (4 December 1893 – 28 February 1966) was a Swedish film director (in 1931-57). Born in Vimmerby, Småland. First studied law and modern languages at Uppsala University. In 1917 he began to work with translating text lines for international silent films (to Swedish), which he did successful throughout the 1920s. In this way he watched many different films by some of the best silent film directors in the world which started an interest in filmmaking and in the arts of film. In 1929-30 he started the film company Europafilm with Gustaf Scheutz where he made some of his early films as a director. He later started a company with the influential film personality and business man Anders Sandrew in 1939, ''AB Sandrew-Bauman Film'', where he made his most successful films, among others his popular " Sickan Carlsson-films", where his most popular and critically praised film was the 1949 comedy ''Skolka skolan (Playing Truant)'' with Carlsson in the lead. Linnéa Hillberg
Linnéa Paulina Hillberg, ''née'' Nilsson (26 October 1892 – 3 July 1977) was a Sweden, Swedish actress. Biography Born in Uddevalla on the Swedish west coast, Linnéa Hillberg made her stage debut in 1913. Early on she acted (1914-18) with the Karin Swanström Theatre Company and 1920-27 she was part of Ernst Eklund (actor), Ernst Eklund's Komediteatern (The Comedy Theatre). In between and during this time she appeared in a number of early Swedish silent films. She worked at Lorensbergsteatern in Gothenburg 1927-34 and at several private theatre's in Stockholm, including Vasateatern during Gösta Ekman (senior), Gösta Ekman's management. Also worked at the Royal Dramatic Theatre for som years (1938–41) but later in the forties became part of the Norrköping-Linköping City Theatre, together with her husband. Julia Cæsar
Julia Maria Vilhelmina Cæsar (28 January 1885 – 18 July 1971) was a Swedish actress. Her acting career spanned from 1905 until 1968, during which time she appeared in a large number of revues, plays, and films. Early life Cæsar was born at Östermalm in Stockholm in 1885. Her father, Gustav Cæsar, was a sergeant belonging to the Royal Svea Life Guards. At the time, Östermalm was a poor part of Stockholm, and Cæsar had a difficult childhood where she periodically had to stay in different foster homes, and sometimes she also lived with her uncle, August Cæsar, who was a prison guard at Långholmen prison. At the age of 12, she had to leave school and start working as a delivery girl in a shop. Career Cæsar was interested in the theatre from a very early age, and she would run errands for actors and help out behind the stage in the evenings and on weekends, when she was not at work.
