Wani (singer)
Ayo Ayoku better known by his stage name Wani, is an American-Nigerian Alté musician. In 2018, he came into the music scene with a widely acclaimed EP ''Lagos City Vice'', with lead song "China Designer", a remake of Tekno's "Be", which became controversial in September 2019, after Sarz called him out, for his royalty, following the success of the song, reaching 1 million streams in July 2019. Early life Ayo Ayoku was born in Washington, DC and spent his early years in London, before relocating to Lagos. He began his music career as an audio engineer in Chicago, where he worked as an engineer for various artists. In an interview with Clash magazine author Shahzaib, he said "I came back to Lagos with 500 dollars in my pocket and five songs that would later turn into 'Lagos City Vice'".
