Wang Yuan (); was a Chinese landscape painter during the Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368). His specific dates of birth and death are not known. Wang was born in Qian TangCihai: Page 1195. (钱塘, modern day Hangzhou in the Zhejiang province). His style name was 'Ruoshui' (若水) and his pseudonym was 'Danxuan' (澹轩). Wang Yuan (mathematician)
Wang Yuan (; 29 April 1930 – 14 May 2021) was a Chinese mathematician and writer known for his contributions to the Goldbach conjecture. He was a president of the Chinese Mathematical Society and head of the Institute of Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Life Wang was born in Lanxi, Zhejiang, China. His father was a magistrate in the local government. Because of the Japanese invasion (the Second Sino-Japanese War), Wang's family had to move away from Zhejiang Province, and finally arrived at the southeast city Kunming in Yunnan in 1938. 1942, Wang's father rose to the position of Chief Secretary of the Academia Sinica. 1946 after the Japanese surrender, his family moved to the capital city, Nanjing. 1946–1949, Wang's father was the Acting Director of the institute. Wang Yuan (palaeontologist)
Wang Yuan () is a Chinese paleontologist who has served as director of the Paleozoological Museum of China (PMC) since 2004. This natural history museum is affiliated to the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology (IVPP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Wang graduated from Peking University in 1991 and received his master's degree from the University of Kansas. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and IVPP in 2002. His doctoral advisor was Zhang Miman. Wang Yuan (; born April 8, 1976) is a Chinese former track and field athlete who specialized in middle-distance running. She made her international debut at the 1993 World Championships in Athletics, failing to progress beyond the heats. On September 8, 1993, while still a 17-year-old, she set the world youth best in the 800 metres at 1:57.18 minutes while qualifying for the final at the Chinese national games. That meet has been an anomaly amongst athletics records due to the freakish string of records set by Chinese women during the meet. The following day, Wang ran 1:58.16 to finish fifth in the final behind the still standing Asian record 1:55.54 set by Liu Dong (who had won the World Championship a month earlier). Two days after that, Wang ran in the 1500 metres final, finishing in seventh place, but again her time of 3:59.81 was another world youth best, bettering the record of 4:01.79 she had set in qualifying.
