Wang Shusheng
Wang Shusheng (May 26, 1905 – January 7, 1974), was a Chinese general, strategist, revolutionary and one of the pioneers of Chinese ordnance and military sciences construction. In 1955 Wang became one of the ten Da Jiang (Generals of the Army) of the People's Liberation Army. He was born into a landlord family but became a major leader of the peasant movement. He experienced many significant battles during the China's turbulent years such as the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Chinese Civil War. Wang joined the Communist Party of China in 1926 and led peasant movements in districts and counties. Before that, he was a primary school headmaster. Then Wang started his military career during the Huangma Uprising, establishing the Northeast Hubei Base. Next, Wang took part in the Long March. Wudang Mountain
The Wudang Mountains () consist of a mountain range in the northwestern part of Hubei, China, just south of Shiyan. They are home to a famous complex of Taoist temples and monasteries associated with the Lord of the North, Xuantian Shangdi. The Wudang Mountains are renowned for the practice of Tai chi and Taoism as the Taoist counterpart to the Shaolin Monastery, which is affiliated with Chinese Chán Buddhism. The Wudang Mountains are one of the " Four Sacred Mountains of Taoism" in China, an important destination for Taoist pilgrimages. New Fourth Army
The New Fourth Army () was a unit of the National Revolutionary Army of the Republic of China established in 1937. In contrast to most of the National Revolutionary Army, it was controlled by the Chinese Communist Party and not by the ruling Kuomintang. The New Fourth Army and the Eighth Route Army were the two main communist forces from 1938. The New Fourth Army was active south of the Yangtze River (Chang Jiang), while the Eighth Route Army was based in Yan'an in the northwest. Yan'an (; ), alternatively spelled as Yenan is a prefecture-level city in the Shaanbei region of Shaanxi province, China, bordering Shanxi to the east and Gansu to the west.
