Wang Chao District
Wang Chao ( th, วังเจ้า, ) is a district ('' amphoe'') of Tak province, western Thailand. History The minor district (''king amphoe'') Wang Chao was created by splitting off some parts of Mueang Tak district. It was announced on 26 June 1996 and became effective on 15 July. On 15 May 2007, all 81 minor districts were upgraded to full districts. With publication in the ''Royal Gazette'' on 24 August the upgrade became official. Geography Neighboring districts are (west from clockwise): Phop Phra, Mueang Tak of Tak Province, Kosamphi Nakhon, Mueang Kamphaeng Phet, Phran Kratai of Kamphaeng Phet province. The important water resources of the district are the Ping River and Khlong Wang Chao. Part of the Khlong Wang Chao National Park is in the southern part of the district. Wang Chao (; born January 21, 1964 in Nanjing) is a Chinese film director and screenwriter, sometimes considered part of the loosely defined "sixth generation." Wang began his career serving as an assistant director to the fifth generation auteur, Chen Kaige, working with the elder director on epics like '' Farewell My Concubine'' and ''The Emperor and the Assassin''. At the same time, he began to write fiction including several short stories and novellas, one of which would later go on to serve sa the basis of Wang's directorial debut, ''The Orphan of Anyang''. With ''Orphan'', Wang Chao would begin what was the first film of a trilogy of films based on modern life in China. He completed the trilogy with 2004's ''Day and Night'' and 2006's ''Luxury Car''. Wang Chao ( born September 15, 1975, in Qingdao) is a former Chinese football player who spent his whole career for Shandong Luneng. Club career In the 1995 league season Wang Chao would begin his professional football career with Shandong Luneng after being promoted from their youth team. With them he would progress as their first choice left-back after several season. Once he started to establish himself as a permanent member of the Shandong he saw them establish themselves as a dominant force within the Chinese league system. After spending his entire professional career with Shandong and winning numerous league title's Wang Chao would retire by the end of the 2008 league season. Wang Chao (; born 23 March 1985 in Beijing, China) is a baseball player from the People's Republic of China. He became the first player from the People's Republic to sign with a Major League Baseball team when he signed with the Seattle Mariners as a pitcher on August 9, 2001. He played in the Rookie classification Arizona League before being released.
