Sir Walter Scott, 1st Baronet (15 August 1771 – 21 September 1832), was a Scottish novelist, poet, playwright and historian. Walter Scott (1844 – 7 October 1890) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. To the people of Bundaberg, he was known as "Honest George". Biography Scott was born at Castlereagh River, New South Wales, the son of Simon Scott and his wife Christina (née Swanson). After his arrival in Queensland he was a station proprietor and manager. In 1875, he married Mary Catherine Martin and together had three sons and two daughters. Walter Scott (born 1908, date of death unknown) was a Unionist politician in Northern Ireland. Scott worked as a building contractor, and was elected to Belfast City Council in 1959, for the Ulster Unionist Party. Walter Robert "Bob" Scott (born 23 April 1943) is a former Australian politician. He was a Liberal member of the New South Wales Legislative Council from 1974 to 1978. Scott was born in Maitland and attended Maitland Boys' High School and Morpeth Grammar School. He subsequently became a dairy farmer and salesman with Shortland City Council, before directing a small family company in the area. A member of the Liberal Party, he contested the 1965 and 1968 elections for Gloucester as an , where the Coalition agreement prevented the Liberal Party from endorsing a candidate against the sitting member. In 1974, Scott was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Council, filling a casual vacancy caused by the death of independent MLC Harry Gardiner. He served until the 1978 state election, when the reduction in the Council's size led him to lose his place on the Coalition's ticket. Walter Scott (Canadian Politician)
Walter Scott (full name: Thomas Walter Scott) (October 27, 1867 – March 23, 1938) was the first premier of Saskatchewan from 1905 to 1916. Scott was Saskatchewan's second longest-serving Premier, serving one continuous term from 1905 to 1916). He led the Saskatchewan Liberal Party in three general elections, winning all three with majority governments before retiring. He was the first of six Liberal Premiers to date. He was succeeded by William Melville Martin. Scott was also the minister of various departments during his tenure as premier.
