Walter Dwight Bradley
Walter Dwight Bradley (born October 30, 1946) is an American politician who served as the 27th lieutenant governor of the U.S. state of New Mexico under Governor Gary Johnson from 1995 through 2003. Career Prior to his election as Lieutenant Governor, Bradley served in the New Mexico State Senate from 1989 to 1994. Bradley was preceded as lieutenant governor by Casey Luna and succeeded by Diane Denish. Bradley ran for Governor of New Mexico in 2002, but was defeated in the Republican primary by state Representative John Sanchez, who lost the general election to Bill Richardson. Gary Johnson
Gary Earl Johnson (born January 1, 1953) is an American businessman, author, and politician. He served as the 29th governor of New Mexico from 1995 to 2003 as a member of the Republican Party. He was the Libertarian Party nominee for President of the United States in the 2012 and 2016 elections. He was also the Libertarian nominee in the 2018 U.S. Senate election in New Mexico. Johnson entered politics for the first time by running for governor of New Mexico in 1994 on a low-tax, anti-crime platform, promising a "common-sense business approach". He defeated incumbent Democratic governor Bruce King, 50% to 40%. He cut the 10% annual growth in the budget, in part by using the gubernatorial veto 200 times during his first six months. He was unable to convince the state senate to pass any of his motions. Johnson sought reelection in 1998, winning by 55% to 45%. Casey E. Luna (born May 26, 1931) is an American politician, businessman, and racing driver who served as Lieutenant Governor of New Mexico from 1991 to 1995, under Governor Bruce King. He is also a businessman who formerly ran an automobile dealership in Belen, New Mexico. Biography Luna was born on May 26, 1931, to Casimiro Luna and Ruby Armenta. He was born in Canon de Jemez (modern day Jemez Pueblo). His parents separated when Luna was roughly 13, and he attended Albuquerque High School, although he did not graduate. He worked as a bicycle delivery boy for Western Union, once personally delivering a telegram to Harry S. Truman in 1948. Also in 1948, he joined the United States Army and was trained as a medic. Diane Daniels Denish ( ; born March 7, 1949) is an American politician, who was the 28th Lieutenant Governor of New Mexico, lieutenant governor of New Mexico. She was elected in 2002, running on the same ticket as Governor Bill Richardson, and was re-elected in 2006. Denish is the first woman to hold that post.
