Walter Bernard
Walter Bernard (born May 3, 1978) is a former American college and professional football player who was a defensive back in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of New Mexico. He played professionally from 2001 to 2005. He was signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2001. He played professionally for the Chargers, Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks of the NFL. Early years Bernard was born in San Diego, California. He attended Poway High School in Poway, California through his junior year, where he played baseball and lettered in both track and field and basketball. For his senior year, Bernard transferred to Rancho Buena Vista High School in Vista, California. Defensive Back
In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. They are distinguished from the other two sets of defensive players, the defensive linemen who play directly on the line of scrimmage, and the linebackers, who play in the middle of the defense, between the defensive line and the defensive backs. Rocky Long
Roderick John Long Jr. (born January 27, 1950) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the defensive coordinator at Syracuse. Prior to being hired by Syracuse, Long was the defensive coordinator at New Mexico. He played professionally with BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the Detroit Wheels of World Football League (WFL). Playing career Long was the starting quarterback for the New Mexico Lobos football team from 1969 to 1971, recording consecutive winning seasons and earning player-of-the-year honors in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) in 1971. The high jump is a track and field event in which competitors must jump unaided over a horizontal bar placed at measured heights without dislodging it. In its modern, most-practiced format, a bar is placed between two standards with a crash mat for landing. Wynton Allen Bernard (born September 24, 1990) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the Toronto Blue Jays organization. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Colorado Rockies. Amateur career Bernard attended Rancho Bernardo High School in Poway, California. He received an athletic scholarship to attend Niagara University and play college baseball for the Niagara Purple Eagles. As a freshman, Bernard had a .293 batting average and led the team in stolen bases. Free Safety
Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. Tony Dungy
Anthony Kevin Dungy ( ; born October 6, 1955) is an American former football safety and coach who served as a head coach in the National Football League (NFL) for 13 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts.
