Walt Posadowski
Walter Posadowski (born c. 1937) is a former Canadian Football League coach who served as the head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders during the 1978 season. Playing career Posadowski played at Villanova University from 1957 to 1959. Coaching career Posadowski's coaching career began at Bishop McDevitt High School, where he compiled a 17-15-5 in four season as head football coach. He spent two seasons as a part-time assistant at Villanova before becoming the Wildcats offensive line coach in 1969. Posadowski spent one season (1976) as an assistant at Idaho State University. Posadowski joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1977 as offensive line coach. After a 0–5 start to the 1978 season, head coach Jim Eddy was fired and Posadowski was named head coach. The Saskatchewan Roughriders are a professional Canadian football team based in Regina, Saskatchewan. The Calgary Stampeders are a professional Canadian football team based in Calgary, Alberta. The Stampeders compete in the West Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Jim Eddy
James Franklin Eddy (May 2, 1936 – October 27, 2016) was an American football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at New Mexico State University. Early years Eddy attended Checotah High School, where he played multiple sports. He played as a running back in football. He graduated at 16 years old, after skipping 2 grades early in his education. He accepted a football scholarship from New Mexico State University, where he played defensive back and running back. Coaching career Eddy's coaching career began as a high school coach in Odessa, Texas. He was later named head coach at Roswell High School. In 1968, he joined the coaching staff at his alma mater, New Mexico State University, where he was an assistant head coach and defensive coordinator. Ron Lancaster
Ronald Lancaster (October 14, 1938 – September 18, 2008) was an American-Canadian professional football player and coach in the Canadian Football League (CFL). As the starting quarterback for the Saskatchewan Roughriders for 16 seasons, he led the team to its first Grey Cup championship in 1966 and is the franchise's all-time leader in passing yards, attempts, completions, touchdowns, and interceptions. At the time of his retirement, he was the CFL's career leader in passing yards and still ranks sixth overall as of 2016. After his retirement as a player, he served as a head coach and general manager in the CFL; he led his teams to two Grey Cups and currently ranks fourth all-time with 142 regular season wins.
