Walt Hunter (born May 7, 1949) is a Philadelphia native and an investigative reporter with KYW-TV. He joined the station in 1980 as a crime reporter and was named best television reporter by Philadelphia Magazine ''Philadelphia'' (also called "''Philadelphia'' magazine" or referred to by the nickname "Phillymag", once called ''Greater Philadelphia'') is a regional monthly magazine published in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by the Lipson family of Philadelphia ... in 2004. KYW-TV
KYW-TV (channel 3) is a television station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, airing programming from the CBS network. It is owned and operated by the network's CBS News and Stations division alongside CW affiliate WPSG (channel 57). Both stations share studios on Hamilton Street north of Center City, Philadelphia, while KYW-TV's transmitter is located in the city's Roxborough section. KYW-TV, along with sister station KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, are the only CBS-affiliated stations east of the Mississippi River with "K" call signs. Broadcast Pioneers Of Philadelphia
The Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia is a state-chartered, federally recognized, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, devoted to collecting information about and promoting cultural work related to broadcasting and communications in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US, and its metropolitan area, the Delaware Valley. The group was founded in 1962 as a local chapter of the national Broadcast Pioneers organization, but became an independent organization in 1995. The organization is made up of over 500 members of the broadcast community. Full members must have 10 years or more experience in the business while associate members need less. Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia is more often simply referred to as just Broadcast Pioneers. They run college student career nights on local college campuses and annual symposiums, also for college students.
