Wally Wales
Floyd Taliaferro Alderson (November 13, 1895 – February 10, 1980) was an American film actor who specialized in westerns. After serving in the Great War, he began his career in the era of silent films, when he frequently used the name Wally Wales. Although he transitioned to sound, he was given smaller parts, and used the name Hal Taliaferro. He appeared in more than 220 films between 1921 and 1964. He lived his later years in Montana at his family ranch. Sheridan is a town in the U.S. state of Wyoming and the county seat of Sheridan County. The town is located halfway between Yellowstone Park and Mount Rushmore by U.S. Route 14 and 16. It is the principal town of the Sheridan, Wyoming, Micropolitan Statistical Area which encompasses all of Sheridan County. The 2010 census put the town's population at 17,444 and the Sheridan, Wyoming, Micropolitan Statistical Area at 29,116, making it the 421st-most populous micropolitan area in the United States. History The city was named after General Philip Sheridan, Union cavalry leader in the American Civil War. ''Ace of Action'' is a 1926 American silent Western film directed by William Bertram and starring Hal Taliaferro, Alma Rayford and Charles Colby. Plot synopsis A feud develops between two families, the Waltons and the Darcys, regarding ownership of a valuable waterhole. John Walton believes the dispute should be settled by an outside party. Farber (Charles Colby), an attorney from back east, impersonates Walton's missing heir. Wally Rand (Hal Taliaferro), is a young cowboy and innocent bystander who falls in love with June Darcy (Alma Rayford). Wally is drawn into the feud when he is mistaken for Walton's rightful heir.
