Wally Clark (Australian Footballer)
Wally Clark (born 25 May 1936) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Fitzroy in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Fitzroy Clark, who was at Fitzroy from underage level, played as a rover. He was their top goal-kicker with 21 goals in 1962 but had his best goal kicking year when he bagged 33 two years earlier. Although he retired from the seniors in 1963, Clark continued in the Fitzroy reserves as captain-coach and won a Gardiner Medal for his on field performances. Saturday, 6 July 1963 Clark coached the senior Fitzroy side for only one match. Wally Clark (English Footballer)
Wallace Clark (14 July 1896 – 20 December 1975) was an English professional footballer who played as an outside forward. He scored two goals in 80 appearances in the Football League playing for Middlesbrough, Leeds United, Birmingham, Coventry City and Barrow. Clark was born in Jarrow, County Durham, and began his football career with Durham City before joining Middlesbrough when the Football League resumed after the First World War. Two seasons later he was transferred to Leeds United for a fee of £460, and in March 1923 moved on to Birmingham. He played regularly until he suffered an injury towards the end of the 1923–24 season, and did not play for the first team again, moving on to Coventry City in October 1924. After that he spent no more than a year with any club, playing for Boston Town in the Midland League, returning to the Football League with Barrow, then the Cheshire County League with Connah's Quay & Shotton. Wally Clark (zoologist)
Walter Clive Clark (22 October 1927 – 21 November 2019) was a New Zealand zoologist who specialised in the study of nematodes and pycnogonids. He was a professor at Massey University and later the University of Canterbury. Early life, family, and education Born in Christchurch on 22 October 1927, Clark was the son of Clive Harold Clark and Ellen Martha Clark (née Baldwin). He had his early education at Bruce Bay, where his academic potential was first recognised, before moving back to Christchurch about the end of 1942. Clark later studied at Canterbury University College, graduating MSc with first-class honours in 1957. He was an assistant lecturer in biology at Christchurch Teachers' College from 1954 to 1955 and an assistant lecturer in zoology at Canterbury from 1956 to 1957. He was then a principal scientific officer in nematology in the entomology division of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) in Nelson from 1957 to 1964. Wallace Clark
Henry Wallace Stuart Clark MBE (20 November 1926 – 8 May 2011) was a sailor, author and businessman from Northern Ireland. Clark was educated at Shrewsbury School and served in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve in World War II. He was an officer in the Ulster Special Constabulary and upon its dissolution became a major in the Ulster Defence Regiment serving until 1981. He was the elder brother of Henry Maitland Clark, MP for North Antrim from 1959 to 1970. He was appointed High Sheriff of County Londonderry for 1969. He is best known for his writing and his sailing exploits. He began sailing at an early age, and from the late 1940s began to explore the waters near his family's ancestral home in Upperlands, County Londonderry. Basing himself in Portrush, County Antrim, he sailed along the north coast of Ireland, and in particular visited Rathlin Island, County Antrim and Inishowen, County Donegal, Republic of Ireland.
