Bob Walls
Robert “Bob” Guy Walls (8 June 1927 – 11 November 1999) was a painter born in Upper Hutt, New Zealand. After finishing his education at Wellington College, Walls worked for the Union Steamship Company. He spent 17 years (1943 to 1960) employed by the shipping company, including 12 years at sea as a purser on ships trading mainly between New Zealand and Canada, and as shipping representative in Tonga and the Cook Islands. It was during this time that he began painting as a hobby. Walls arrived in London in 1960, and subsequently studied at the Chelsea School of Art (1960–1963). His first solo exhibition was in 1964 at the Drian Galleries in London. He painted full-time for many years, along with some lecturing and teaching. Daniel Frank Walls
Daniel Frank Walls Fellow of the Royal Society, FRS (13 September 1942 – 12 May 1999) was a New Zealand theoretical physicist specialising in quantum optics. Education Walls gained a BSc in physics and mathematics and a first class honours MSc in physics at the University of Auckland. He then went to Harvard University as a Fulbright Scholar, obtaining his PhD in 1969. He was supervised by Roy J. Glauber who was later awarded a Nobel prize in 2005. Career and research After holding postdoctoral research positions in Auckland and Stuttgart, Walls became a senior lecturer in physics at the University of Waikato in 1972, where he became professor in 1980. Together with his colleague Crispin Gardiner, during the next 25 years he established a major research centre for theoretical quantum optics in New Zealand and built active and productive collaborations with groups throughout the world. He played professionally as an end for six seasons with the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). Charles Wesley Walls (born March 26, 1966) is a former American football tight end who played 14 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Early career Walls played high school football in Pontotoc, Mississippi. He spent his first three years as a quarterback at South Pontotoc High School. Before his senior year, he transferred to Pontotoc High School, a rival high school. Walls' transfer caused such an uproar in the area, the case went to court, and Walls' eligibility for baseball and basketball was denied. Lenny Brad Walls (born September 26, 1979) is a former professional American and Canadian football defensive back. He last played for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Gavin Walls (born January 29, 1980 in Ripley, Mississippi) is a professional American football player, who most recently played with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He has also played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. A defensive end, Walls played collegiate football for the University of Arkansas. Following college, he attended training camp with the Minnesota Vikings, but was cut before the regular season.
