Wallace Island Marine Provincial Park is a provincial park in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Canada. The park includes almost all of Wallace Island. Land on the northern side of Princess Cove extending north towards Chivers is private. Trincomali Channel is a channel located in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Canada. Etymology Trincomali Channel is named for the ship HMS ''Trincomalee'', which was assigned to the Royal Navy's Pacific Station at Esquimalt from 1852 to 1856. Geography Trincomali Channel is located between Pylades Island to the north; Thetis, Penelakut, and Salt Spring Islands to the west; Valdes and Galiano Islands to the east; and Prevost Island to the south. Active Pass and Porlier Pass link the channel to the Strait of Georgia at the south and north ends of Galiano Island, respectively. HMS ''Trincomalee'' is a Royal Navy sailing frigate built shortly after the end of the Napoleonic Wars. She is now restored as a museum ship afloat in the National Museum of the Royal Navy, Hartlepool, England. David Conover
David Conover (June 26, 1919 – December 21, 1983) was an author and documentary photographer who is credited with discovering Marilyn Monroe while taking photos for '' Yank'' magazine. While attached to the U.S. Army Air Forces' First Motion Picture Unit, his commanding officer was future U.S. president Ronald Reagan, who had sent Conover to the Radioplane Munitions Factory where he discovered Monroe. Saltspring Island
Salt Spring Island or Saltspring Island is one of the Gulf Islands in the Strait of Georgia between mainland British Columbia, Canada, and Vancouver Island. The island was initially inhabited by various Salishan peoples before being settled by immigrant pioneers in 1859, at which time it was renamed Admiral Island. It was the first of the Gulf Islands to be settled and the first agricultural settlement on the islands in the Colony of Vancouver Island, as well as the first island in the region to permit settlers to acquire land through pre-emption. Galiano Island
Galiano Island (Hul'qumi'num: ''Swiikw'') is one of the Southern Gulf Islands located between Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, Canada. Located on the west side of the Strait of Georgia, the island is bordered by Mayne Island to the southeast, Salt Spring Island to the west and Valdes Island to the northwest. Galiano is part of the Capital Regional District Electoral Area G, and has a permanent population of 1,396 inhabitants as of 2021.
