Monty Are I (formerly known as Monty's Fan Club and Monty) is an American rock band from Cranston, Rhode Island. The band is named after the groups’s former music instructor, Arthur Montanaro. The "Are I" portion of the name is a pun on "RI", Rhode Island's postal abbreviation. History and achievements Monty Are I won Takeover Records' "Sign My Band" contest on MySpace in 2005. They also won the WBRU "Rock Hunt" in 2002 and the Ernie Ball sponsored "Battle of the Bands" in 2003. The group signed to Stolen Transmission, and were upstreamed to Island Records. Monty has many national tours under their belt, including five years on Vans Warped Tour, and tours with Just Surrender, Secondhand Serenade, Amber Pacific, Anberlin, Powerspace, Rx Bandits, My Chemical Romance, Story of the Year, Sum41, Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, Hawthorne Heights and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Cranston, Rhode Island
Cranston, once known as Pawtuxet, is a city in Providence County, Rhode Island. The official population of the city in the 2020 United States Census was 82,934, making it the second largest in the state. The center of population of Rhode Island is located in Cranston. Anberlin
Anberlin is an American alternative rock band formed in Winter Haven, Florida in 2002. Since the beginning of 2007, the band consists of lead vocalist Stephen Christian, guitarists Joseph Milligan and Christian McAlhaney, bassist Deon Rexroat, and drummer Nathan Young. Members of Anberlin originally formed a band under the name SaGoh 24/7 in 1998, releasing two studio albums before disbanding, with the members having a change in musical direction and name. Anberlin was formed in 2002; within a year of forming, they had signed with semi-independent record label Tooth & Nail Records and released their debut album, ''Blueprints for the Black Market''. Thirty Seconds to Mars (commonly stylized as 30 Seconds to Mars) is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1998. ''Tony Hawk's Project 8'' is a skateboarding video game and the eighth installment in the '' Tony Hawk's'' series. ''ATV Offroad Fury 4'' is a racing video game developed by Climax Racing and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for PlayStation 2. Gameplay ''ATV Offroad Fury 4'' sees the introduction of new vehicles such as dirt bikes, trophy trucks and dune buggies, alongside existing quad bikes; this allows the game to include up to 50 Championship Modes. In addition to improved graphics, it also has an additional 60 tracks and improved online gaming. In terms of in-game controls, more tricks are possible while the player is on an MX motorcycle, but none can be performed while the player is controlling a Trophy Truck or Dune Buggy. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus is an American rock band that was formed in Middleburg, Florida, in 2003. The band has released five studio albums to date. The current members are Ronnie Winter (lead vocals), Joey Westwood (bass), Josh Burke (lead guitar), Randy Winter (rhythm guitar), Daniel Resnick (keys) and John Espy (drums). Hawthorne Heights, formerly A Day in the Life, is an American rock band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2001. Their lineup currently consists of JT Woodruff (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Matt Ridenour (bass guitar, backing vocals), Mark McMillon (lead guitar, unclean backing vocals), and Chris Popadak (drums, percussion). On November 24, 2007, rhythm guitarist and unclean backing vocalist Casey Calvert died, leaving the band as a four-piece. Yellowcard is an American Rock music, rock band that formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1997 and was based in Los Angeles beginning in 2000. The band is recognized for having a distinct sound in their genre, primarily due to the prominent use of a violin in their songs, and are best known for their singles "Ocean Avenue (song), Ocean Avenue", "Only One (Yellowcard song), Only One", and "Lights and Sounds (song), Lights and Sounds". Taking Back Sunday is an American rock band from Long Island, New York. The band was formed by guitarist Eddie Reyes and bassist Jesse Lacey in 1999. Story of the Year is an American rock band formed in St. Louis, Missouri, Story of the Year at Allmusic.comAccessed May 17, 2007. in 1995 under the name 67 North. The band eventually changed their name to Big Blue Monkey in 1998, and then subsequently changed it again to Story of the Year in 2002, after the release of their EP titled ''Story of the Year'' on the indie label Criterion Records.
