Walid Shour
Walid Adel Shour ( ar, وليد عادل شور; born 10 June 1996) is a footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Ahed and the Lebanon national team. Starting his senior career at Ahed, he was loaned out to Racing Beirut for one season in 2018. Upon his return to Ahed, he helped them win the 2019 AFC Cup and the 2019 Lebanese Super Cup, before being sent on loan to Shabab Sahel in summer 2021. Born in Sierra Leone to a Sierra Leonean mother and a Lebanese father, Shour was called up to represent Sierra Leone internationally at senior level in 2019, without making an appearance. He opted to represent Lebanon, making his senior debut in 2021. Early life Born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, Shour began playing at hometown club Kallon in 2010. The 2022–23 Lebanese Premier League is the 61st season of the Lebanese Premier League, the top Lebanese professional league for association football clubs since its establishment in 1934. The league started on 2 September. It is the third season to feature a "split" format, following its introduction in the 2020–21 season, in which the season is divided into two phases. Summary Regulations Each club has to involve two players under the age of 21 for at least 2,000 combined minutes, and three players for 3,000 combined minutes. Also, each club is allowed a maximum of eight players over the age of 30, with only five being able to be fielded in a game. The AFC Cup is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Under its current rules, the competition is played primarily between clubs from nations that did not receive direct qualifying slots in the top-tier AFC Champions League, based on the AFC Club Competitions Ranking. 2023 AFC Asian Cup
The 2023 AFC Asian Cup will be the 18th edition of the AFC Asian Cup, the quadrennial international men's football championship of Asia organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). It will involve 24 national teams after expansion in 2019, with Qatar as the defending champions. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in China from 16 June to 16 July 2023. 2020–21 Lebanese Premier League
The 2020–21 Lebanese Premier League was the 59th season of the Lebanese Premier League, the top Lebanese professional league for association football clubs since its establishment in 1934. The league was initially scheduled to start on 18 September, before being postponed to 3 October as part of preventive measures by the state towards the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first season to feature a "split" format, in which the season was divided into two phases. In the first phase, each club played against each other once, for a total of 11 matchdays. In the second phase, the league was split into two halves – the "top six" and the "bottom six". Points were carried over from the first phase, and each club played five games within its own half.
